Local Initiative School
The 2016-2017 school year is Arminta St. Elementary's first year as a Local Initiative School. What this means is our instructional program is based on the specific learning needs of our students as well as a 21st Century curriculum that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics. Arminta’s vision is to also promote a dynamic learning community where all stakeholders play an active role in helping students achieve their greatest potential. Our goal is to enhance learning through data analysis, co-teaching, technology integration, projects based learning, Educator Development & Support Frameworks, English Language Development, and the use of Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. We serve all students which include Gifted & Talented, English Learners, and students with Special Needs.
Arminta’s vision is to instill in each student the desire to learn and become socially responsible adults and productive citizens of the world. We are committed to making our students’ college and career ready by providing a risk free and academically rich environment. We value the pursuit of lifelong learning and are dedicated to nurturing high self esteem and respect for others. Our ultimate goal is to empower each student to achieve their greatest potential.
